My name is Andreas Siskos, I am a passionate developer and I am working on daily basis in my projects after work. Also I am a graduate from Computer Science of University of Crete. My interests are Computer Networks, Information Security and Algorithms. I like building applications on Data Mining, Webscraping and then storing everything into different databases depending on the data that I have collected, building my own APIs and automating processes. January 2023 - Present
My main tasks in this job is to securely deploy and monitor applications in Kubernetes cluster on Google Cloud Platform, optimize Gooocle Cloud costs in order for the applications to run flawlessly with the minimum required resources, design solutions for the customers with my coworkers and build CI/CD pipelines.
January 2022 - December 2022
I was automating processes in order to make things easier and safer for the company to use. This includes building CI/CD pipelines, testing of the code, monitoring of the servers, and deploying the code to them.
November 2018 - December 2021
Here I got involved in a lot of networking projects. Some of them included analyzation of pings and traceroutes, Autonomous Systems in the Internet, IoT, BGP Hijacks, Network Security and many more. I build some tools for these topics, such as REST APIs, network automation tools, extensions of already implemented tools. Moreover I have designed, built, monitored and supported almost all of them and you can find some presentations that I have made for them in some conferences.
July 2021 - August 2021
In this interenship, I learned a lot about Quantum Computers and their Algorithms. Also I used a real quantum computer from IBM in order to factorize numbers 91 and 35 with the Shor's Algorithm.
September 2016 - July 2022
In this Department, I learned the basics around the computers, from their hardware and how a computer handles the electricity and turn it into data up to building complicated applications with databases and handling multiple connections of different users across the world. Except from that, I also learned about Logic, Networks, Algorithms that excited me so much that even in my free time I am still studying and learning new things about these topics and the technologies around them. Additionally, I was part of a lot of teams of my University and I got a lot of interenships, scholarships and awards in competitions and events from all over the world. September 2014 - July 2016
I studied here for 2 years, I learned the basics of Mathematics like Calculus, Differential Equations, Number Theory, Linear Algebra, Linear Programming and applying these knowledge with Python. This was a very important step in my career, because it gave a strong mathematical background and an advantage of reading and understanding Mathematics more easily for my next step in my Education, the Computer Science degree. Also because of my good marks in Programming, I had the opportunity to work on Programming projects for maths with some of the professors of the Department and to build my first applications.
